Andrew’s instructing experience has been born from his racing career. Through instructing at all levels, he has developed a great understanding of how best to explain sometimes very complicated issues to new or experienced drivers.
An ‘A’ grade ARDS instructor, he is also and official UK Porsche Driving Consultant, Silverstone Race Academy instructor and has worked for nearly every manufacture. Andrew also has copious amounts of
racing and instructing experience at every major UK race circuit and proving facility.
RACING BACKGROUND
Andrew Bentley has been racing for over 15 years. Starting his career in karts as so many aspiring professional drivers, he soon started winning both races and championships, beating many more experienced.
Andrew then took part in the Scholarship competition run by Silverstone Race Academy. He won this and his prize was a funded season in the Junior Formula Ford Championship. He was a massive success taking 9 podiums including wins and many fastest laps. This was enough to place him 3rd overall in his first year of professional motorsport.
Andrew also caught the attention of many race teams. The following year was spent in the full UK Formula Ford Championship in which he was rewarded with numerous class wins.
Andrews racing career continued to Formula Renault and then across the pond to Star Mazda in the United States, providing further solid results and impressing many team owners.
Back in the UK, Andrew Bentley won yet another scholarship; a fully funded season in the extremely competitive Clio Cup. Many exciting drives proved Andrew as a true racer. His switch to tin-tops showed Andrew to be very versatile too, a talent which he also applies to his tuition.
Most recently Bentley has been the development and works race driver for ADR Engineering, competing in their ‘CN’ Sports Prototype car, so far a success campaign provide numerous class wins.
