ABINGDON TRACKDAY INFORMATION
Abingdon Airfield is a great place to begin your track day experiences. It boasts high quality tarmac, sharing a good mix of corners with long straights and a track length of 1.8 miles.
As Abingdon is an airfield track, there is plenty of run-off. This is always good for track day drivers who are pushing themselves and their cars to the limit.
HISTORY: RAF Abingdon was opened in 1932, as a training station for RAF Bomber Command; it continued this task throughout WWII.
Following WWII Abingdon became part of RAF Transport Command. The airfield is now used for helicopter and glider training, as well as track days.
SUMMARY: Abingdon Airfield is a great host to all types of track day drivers; with a good mix of fast and technical corners, long straights and copious amounts of greenery to spin into!
