ALMERIA TRACK DAY INFORMATION
Track days on the 2.5 mile Almeria circuit are now quite popular. The Almeria track is located towards the southern Spanish coast, and has become a test facility for MotoGP and F1 teams alike.
The Almeria circuit is wide, undulating and fast in places. Being a modern track it has plenty of run-off areas, which is obviously great for driving enthusiasts. Almeria has 8 right-handers and 5 left-handers, plus nearly a kilometre long straight. There are two demanding and very technical sections of the circuit, which are satisfying when driven correctly.
The garages are built to a very high standard and have a toilet and shower in each block.
HISTORY: The Almeria circuit was built in 2001 and lies in the Spanish desert 35km north of the Almeria town. It is now used for racing, testing and the occasional track day.
SUMMARY: Almeria is a top quality circuit, with some fast turns, long straights and technical sections. It is well worth the journey, and you’re almost guaranteed a dry day. Almeria is a must for any track day driver.
