CADWELL PARK TRACK DAY INFORMATION
Track days at Cadwell Park take place a few times every month. The UK’s very own mini-Nurburgring has its own charm, with the narrow track having a very exciting appeal.
Cadwell Park is set in the Lincolnshire Wolds, boasting steep hills, a ‘street course’ section and a jump... The Mountain is probably the most famous part of Cadwell Park, where cars and bikes can often take off. The Mountain is followed by a tight Armco’d section that reminds of the streets of Monaco.
Track day drivers are often fond of Cadwell Park, even though the barriers are a little too close and the circuit is a little too narrow. It’s like stepping back in time; when some other circuits are starting to look like car parks, Cadwell Park hasn’t changed – and hopefully it will remain that way.
HISTORY: Cadwell Park was created in 1934 for the land owners sons to have somewhere to ride their motorbikes. In 1962 the Cadwell Park track grew to its current 2.2 miles length and in 2004 was taken over by Motorsports Vision and Jonathan Palmer.
SUMMARY: Cadwell Park feels like an older circuit, but that’s part of its draw. Track day drivers will enjoy sections like the Mountain, Hall Bends and the high speeds of Charlie’s. Although the barriers are close, sensible track day drivers will certainly enjoy Cadwell Park.
