CASTLE COMBE TRACKDAY INFORMATION

The Castle Combe circuit is a fast and flowing circuit, combined elegantly with some technical chicanes that don’t damage the fluidity. Track day drivers often enjoy the challenge of fast bends such as Camp Corner - which for lap time purposes, is one of the most important.

Avon Rise and Quarry Corner are some of the slowest on the track, providing a technical challenge throughout the day; get this section wrong and your lap time will certainly suffer.

Castle Combe is made up from 7 right hand bends, 4 left hand bends and an overall length of 1.85 miles.

HISTORY: The Castle Combe Circuit opened it’s doors a year-and-a-half after Silverstone, in 1950. It managed to maintain its original layout until 1999, when a few safety chicanes were introduced. Although these chicanes do slow the track, they don’t take much away from the overall flow.

Track days are consistently run at Castle Combe, with a usual noise limit of 100db in place.

SUMMARY: Castle Combe is a compelling circuit for track day drivers, fast, flowing and almost 'old-school' it serves a real thrill to us all.
